Witarist IT Services Private Limited ("Witarist", "we", "our") operates the website at https://witarist.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit the site or use our staff-augmentation services, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We collect only what's needed to match hiring managers with developers and to operate the platform.

1. What we collect

From hiring-manager visitors: name, work email, phone (optional), company name, role you're hiring for, hiring timeline, free-text requirements you submit through any form.
From developers in our network: name, professional email, location (city/region), years of experience, skills, employment history, project descriptions, certifications, education, resume file, and the public links you supply (GitHub, LinkedIn, project URLs). We obtain this information directly from the developer or from staffing partners with the developer's consent.
Automatically: IP address (truncated for analytics), browser user-agent, device type, pages viewed, search queries entered on the site, referrer. Collected via Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager when you accept analytics cookies.

2. Why we collect it

To match hiring managers with relevant developer profiles.
To respond to inbound enquiries and proposals.
To operate, secure and improve the website (debugging, fraud prevention, performance monitoring).
To send transactional notifications (lead acknowledgements, profile update emails, invoices) — we do not send marketing email without opt-in consent.
To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations.

3. Lawful basis (GDPR jurisdictions)

Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on: (a) contract — to provide the staff-augmentation service you're requesting; (b) legitimate interests — to operate the site and respond to enquiries; (c) consent — for analytics cookies and marketing communications, where applicable.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with sub-processors that help us run the platform, under contracts that bind them to confidentiality and equivalent privacy standards:

Cloud hosting and database providers
Email-delivery providers (transactional notifications)
Analytics providers (Google Analytics 4)
Customer-support tooling

We disclose data when required by law or to protect our rights, users' safety, or the integrity of the platform.

5. International transfers

Witarist is incorporated in India and stores data primarily in Indian and EU/US-based cloud regions. When data crosses borders we use the standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards permitted under applicable law.

6. How long we keep it

Lead form submissions: 24 months from last contact, then deleted unless the contact converts. Developer profiles: as long as the developer remains in our network plus 12 months. Analytics: 14 months in Google Analytics. We delete sooner on request.

7. Your rights

Subject to local law, you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, withdraw any consent you've given, or object to certain uses. Email privacy@witarist.com from the address tied to the data and we'll respond within 30 days. EU residents may also lodge a complaint with their national supervisory authority.

8. Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies plus optional analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy for the full list and how to control them.

9. Children

The platform is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have, email privacy@witarist.com and we'll delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced in-product or by email to hiring-manager accounts. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
